We invite faculty to apply for our rolling funding opportunities aimed at exploring and expanding the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into education. This initiative seeks to foster innovative projects that advance teaching, learning, and interdisciplinary research. Our approach emphasizes flexibility, allowing faculty to define the specific uses for their funding, which may include licenses, events, research assistants, and more.
Categories of Support
- Supporting classroom practice: License and application support for acquiring software licenses or subscriptions essential for AI-driven research and teaching. Applications should specify how these applications will enhance your educational or research objectives. Funding: up to $2,500 per award.
- Supporting community exploration of AI integration: Cohorts, events, and community of practice support for establishing learning cohorts, symposia, or interdisciplinary collaborations. Efforts should contribute to the broader institutional knowledge base and promote shared learning across disciplines. Funding: up to $2,500 per award.
- Supporting curriculum redesign: A limited number of awards will be available for support for projects that integrate AI into curricula or explore AI’s impact on education. Projects could include developing new courses, redesigning existing ones, or creating AI-enhanced learning environments with a focus on student learning and engagement. We highly recommend submitting a brief project idea to ipai@georgetown.edu before submitting a full proposal. Funding: up to $5,000 per award.

- Include a plan for assessing the effectiveness of your AI integration and a reflection component to capture insights and lessons learned.
