Building AI into CCT

Project Overview

“Building AI into CCT” will integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the Communication, Culture, & Technology (CCT)  curriculum. The project seeks to infuse five CCT courses with hands-on AI experiences, enabling students to explore, create, and analyze with generative AI tools. Through the IPAI grant, students will secure licenses to use state-of-the-art AI tools for generating images, texts, and deepfake videos. This hands-on experience is designed to deepen students’ understanding of AI’s role in creativity, communications, policy, intellectual property, privacy, and more. Students will showcase their AI-centered work alongside faculty research during Tech & Society Week through physical representations or outputs including visual art, technical artifacts, and video displays. The initiative represents a significant step towards embedding AI into the fabric of CCT’s program, encouraging critical engagement with AI technologies, and preparing students for a future where AI plays a central role.
